Bedfordshire makes a perfect base from which to explore the historic university towns of Cambridge and Oxford, to indulge in a shopping spree in Milton Keynes or to visit safari parks such as Woburn (with its Abbey) and Whipsnade.
Thurleigh itself and the surrounding villages offer a variety of sports and activities including horse-riding, golf, clay pigeon shooting, monster trucking and quad biking, powered hang-gliding and “Bodyflight”. Thurleigh is also home to popular Jonathan Palmer Motor-sports, and to Thurleigh Farm Centre which offers a range of activities for children.
There are a number of pubs and restaurants nearby including The Jackal, a short walk away from the Windmill.
Wendy and Julian have lived in Thurleigh for over 20 years and will be very happy
to advise you of more things to do during your stay.
