| At the Black Cat Roundabout (junction with the A421) take the turning signed Roxton and Great Barford (the old A421). Pass Roxton Garden Centre on your left after 300 metres and turn immediately right, signed Chawston (this will take you over the Bedford by-pass, A421). Continue over the first crossroads, round some sharp bends and past 2 turnings to your right. The road to this point has been your right of way at all times. The road now narrows and continues for about 4 miles to a tee junction. At one stage the road narrows even further to become single track. Take care here. At the junction, turn left and then immediately right. At the next tee junction (½ mile), turn right onto the B660, signed Bolnhurst. 1 mile further on turn left (signed Thurleigh). Continue through the village past the Jackal pub. A quarter of a mile after leaving the village you will pass a turning to your left. The Windmill is now on your right. Please be careful in negotiating your entry into the drive. |
